WeChat H5 Game – “Hiking without Lights” (Non-profit)

For students in remote mountain regions of China, it can be difficult to get to school. Many must take long, dangerous hikes in the dark just to receive a proper education. In this WeChat H5 game, users experienced what it is like for these children to hike in the dark and face many obstacles. The game is designed to raise public awareness of the issue, and gives people the opportunity to donate to the cause. All contributions went directly toward building street lamps for students in these areas.

Instead of using a celebrity to promote the product, this campaign tapped a Shiba Inu as the star. Shot from the dog’s perspective, audiences received a close-up look of how the cotton is made.

‘Life is Like a Skewer’ is a co-production of Authrule Digital Media and Bilibili, one of the largest video sharing platforms in China. The documentary promotes the culture of night market barbecue, featuring over 500 legendary eateries in more than 30 cities.
